Nashville, TN (February 20, 2008) – Jason Massey, a SiteHawk Sales Manager, will be speaking at the 2008 Indiana Safety and Health Conference (http://www.insafetyconf.com) February 27th, 2008 from 1:15-2:30 PM in Salon A. Jason will discuss the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), first published by the United Nation's Subcommittee of Experts in 2003. Since its publication, agencies and countries around the world have moved toward implementation of the standard, some already adopting its policies. Presentation topics will include: an Overview of the GHS; expected changes to HAZCOM, workplace labels, and the MSDS; helpful Transition Tips; current list of countries that have adopted the GHS; and available Resources.
SiteHawk has been committed to helping keep EH&S professionals informed of the latest GHS developments since it first popped up on the radar screen in North America. Early in 2007, SiteHawk created a micro-website (www.ghsinformation.com) dedicated solely to the education and dissemination of GHS information. Since then, the SiteHawk team has published a number of articles on the subject, and has been asked numerous times to speak at corporations and associations to help further educate the industry on the GHS. In addition, the SiteHawk software has been enhanced with tools to help transition to the GHS, from authoring a GHS Safety Data Sheet to managing GHS information for employee training and messaging.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn the latest in GHS information and to ask questions of a clear leader in GHS information.
