With 2019 in full swing, many people have closed the chapter for 2018; but for some, 2018 isn’t over just yet. Environmental teams across almost every industry are gathering information and resources in preparation for annual regulatory reporting. Organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada may even find themselves in the trenches preparing for Tier II, TRI (Toxic Release Inventory) and NPRI (National Pollutant Release Inventory). You may be saying to yourself, “I’ve done this before – I think I’m good for this round.” While that may be true for some, it’s safe practice not to take the intricacies of these reports lightly (especially if your organization must file more than one of these!).
Not only do these regulations change from year to year, but Tier II can also change on a state-by-state level for those who live in the U.S. The silver lining is there are common threads throughout these regulations and their reporting requirements. Gaining a deeper understanding of these regulations, their reporting requirements and the common threads amongst all three enables you to fulfill your environmental obligations as an organization with less hurdles along the way. While this may advance your starting position, there are also internal best practices to set you up for even greater success.
To help with the 2019 regulatory reporting season, SiteHawk and Cority are teaming up in an upcoming webinar to talk about these very things. Join subject matter experts as they guide us through Tier II, TRI and NPRI, identify commonalities, highlight changes for 2018/2019 and reveal some best practices to set your organization up for success.
